Somewhere hot for Feb 2011 Half Term

I am thinking of booking a week for my husband, myself and 15 year old son, can anyone recommend a resort and hotel for half term Feb 2011?

I would prefer somewhere near a beach, with a flight from Manchester and all inclusive, but can be open minded!

How much is your budget, which dates can you fly on, and how old will your son be on the likely return date?

  • I would be flying on either the evening of Friday 18th Feb, Sat 19th or Sun 19th and return 7 days later.

Not sure about budget yet, looked at Sharm and it was looking around £2500 and I thought gulp! So I guess not that much.

And my son will be 16 when we both fly out and back.

So how much is your budget?

  • Not put a figure on it, looking for ideas but if it helps less than £2500.

There are flights to Sharm and Paphos on Sundays from Manchester.

  • Thanks I have already ruled out Paphos as I have friends who live there and the weather last Feb wasn't good.

The best weather is going to be Egypt.

Defo Egypt and the Canary Islands, thats the best bet for your dates everywhere else with 5 1/2 hours would be risking it

Have a look at Mercury Direct for Egypt, or further afield Sri Lanka.

Several hotels well within your budget, although your son will count as an adult at his age (probably so for most places).
