Netbook fault

I bought a packard bell net book brand new from Amazon on 10th March this year costing £220.
It has now developed a fault with the screen whereby it goes white at certain tilts - I suspect some sort of connection fault.
It has a 1 year manufacturers warranty.
Do I now take this up with the manufacturer as 6 months has passed or do I still contact amazon directly?

It up to you, it may be quicker going direct to PB as Amazon will probably just pass it to them for repair anyway0
