    Yes, Amazon deal with the actual payment so you money isn't "lost" and can be claimed back.

    Are you saying that the actual money has come out of your account and the transaction listed on your statement? Or is it just the available balance that is reduced by £400?

    If it's the available balance then this will get added back after so many days (upto 10 days). If the transaction went through and was then refunded then this will also take several days to come back into your account (5 working days).
