no, no. The original warranty has now expired. However, if the machine they offer is brand new, should I get a warranty with it or do I only get the original warranty?

In other words, wht happens in 2 months time if the new one stops working?

You will have the same statutory rights as though you bought it brand new. the fact that it is a replacement will not matter a jot. In your example of it breaking down in two months, it is likely that the fault would have existed when it was given to you and so the store would be liable. As to the manufacturer's warranty that you usually get, I would imagine that this would be included anyway, as most of these are tucked inside the box.

OK, I told them today that it's nearly 7 weeks since their courier lost my machine and that it had taken an unreasonable amount of time for them to replace it. I asked for compensation of the amount their website offers my machine at. They have offered my either a different machine or about 66% of my claim in cash.

I did ask them to compare the specs of the two machines so that we could establish whether or not it was equivelant.......they didn't!

I think you need to add up the cost to you ie telephone calls petrol for journeys to shop
if all else fails contact your local rag

It should not hopefully come to such measures, though publicity for bad service may make some sellers think twice, we hope.
