I look forward to it HiD :j :j
Mam was quite good today, bless her - my brother took her out for a 'walk' in her wheelchair this morning with it being a nice day so she really enjoyed that - the wheelchair was another auction bargain of ours - we had bought her a transit wheelchair, those with 4 little wheels, a couple of years ago for £5 but it was heavy and cumbersome, plus hard going on kerbs, turning corners, etc - so Mr 3Dogs bought a brand new one for her at another auction - it cost him £40 and had all the paperwork with it so I looked it up on the internet and it costs over £400!! It is super lightweight and very manouverable so great when they take her out for walks now - and she loves it!!
Oh and we sold the old one for £10 on the car boot!!Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Wow you and mr 3dogs do find those bargins like i do with trainers. Which Andy wanted a pair off so had to go back to the shop and get him a pair. I got me dad a wheelchair brand new and cost £60 brand new and a 3 wheeler frame less than half price on the internet.0 -
wow the wheelchair was a good bargain and in effect just cost u £30 (taking into account the price of the old one)Eating sensibly to try and lose some weight0

Yes, since going to auctions and doing car boots, I would never buy new again - the only things we have bought new in the last 4 or so years are a washing machine (only because mine broke and none about at the time but eeded one quickly), a halogen oven (but in a sale), a microwave (the one we had broke, we got one from an auction, lasted 6 months then that broke, so we bought a new one but only £33 half price in Arg*s in a sale but use vouchers from doing surveys so did not use cash), and ...... no, can't think of anything else!!!! When my washer/dryer broke and was unfixable, I only bought the new washer, so I was without a tumbler for a while. Then one came up at auction so we got it for about £30 -thing is it is a Miele top of the range would have cost a fortune with heat sensor, extra large drum, etc. It had come in as part of a house clearance and the porter said that the lady's mother had only bought it a few months before.
Steve, you're as bad as us at wanting bargainsMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
