Still no news from sister so I am just popping along to friends aas I am going to hospital with her tomorrow, so need to confirm details and see how she is and have a play with Misty of course :j

No i was realy good in Lid*s.... hope your friend is doing ok aswell.. How is mr 3dogs? guess he is very busy sorting out stuff for the car boot sale..

Evening all - yes Steve, Mr 3dogs has been sorting out stuff and getting it ready for his car boot tomorrow - we took some down there at lunch time and put it inside where his stall is so it is there ready for him tomorrow, but he had some to wash so he did that and now put them in the van ready for tomorrow. And I've been checking some prices on eBay to see if best to sell them on there - good news is some bits he got do sell well on eBay so I must get some eBaying done when I get back from Mam's - I haven't had anything on there since the end of August :eek::eek:

I popped round to my friends and played with Misty and we had a cuppa and a good long natter - she updated me with her news and I told her about me Mam - she is doing very well now, not quite there yet but getting there :j I am accompanying her to her rheumatology hospital appointment tomorrow so I'm not going to the car boot - the hospital transport is picking us up about 9.15/9.30 am for her appointment at 11 am

And I've been checking out accommodation options for our reunion most of the day too

Does sound like youve both been rather busy today. Id certainly sell some of the stuff you have on ebay if you can make a profit..
Hope your friend goes on well tomorrow at the hospital & mr 3dogs at the car boot sale.
I take it you will be heading up to Durham on Saturday to see you mam?

Evening Beanie and Steve - talked to my sister earlier after she had done the evening visit to see Mam in hospital - brother had been to see her this afternoon - drip not in her arm either time :mad: Mam asked my Big Sis (BS) if she had brought her dinner as she was ready for it and then said she had almost got up and got the bottle of juice from next bed's cupboard top as she was dying for a drink - she is still nil by mouth and drip not in:mad: sister asked to speak to a doctor but the one on duty wasn't hers, so he called a nurse, who said that the drip in her hand had come out so they put one above her wrist, which she had pulled out, so they were waiting for another one to be put in - but BS can't tell how long she has had the drip in, if at all, since yesterday :mad: :mad: BS told nurse that Mam getting very croaky as her mouth and throat were getting so dry but nurse just said they can't do anything until speech Therapist sees her. BS said that Mam does not have any trouble eating and would clear her plate and have a pudding too, and that Speech Therapist had been requested for 36 hours now so should have been here - but Nurse just said that she would get it chased up tomorrow morning. BS said that Mam was ok otherwise, but very croaky and weak. Nurse had told my brother this afternoon that Mam's wedding ring had fallen off and she gave it to him to take home. BS commented on this to the nurse adding that her ring had never been able to come off her finger before yet, after 2 days in hospital it had fallen off, but nurse said that could not have happened in just 2 days :mad: Thing is, as I said, mam is only about 7 stone in weight so can't afford to be without food/water - about 12 months ago she was about 6 stone, and it has taken lots of effort to get her up to 7 stones. She does eat well though, always has.

Anyway, BS is going with brother tomorrow afternoon, so more chance of seeing doctor and she will raise merry hell if no progress. Nargle has kindly advised me that we shoudl ask to see the Patient Advice and Liaison Service PALS to discuss our concerns about Mam's care, so I told my BS and she will check this out tomorrow. I told my BS that I will be up there on Saturday, getting home about 11 am, so will see Mam on Saturday afternoon :j :j

Wallsend-on-Tyne, 5 miles from Newcastle, not Durham (that's Frit - though I could pop in and see him too of course )

Hello Susan, Gosh sorry to hear about the progress on your mam,
I do hope your sister & bro get it sorted tomorrow as to not give your mum a drink let alone any food is totally wrong. I know she had the drip but to leave her and not help her is awful.

Did you manage to sort out the trains fares?
