Mr 3Dogs didn't get back from the car boot until 4.20 pm as he had to wait for the cafe to close for his lift home off the cafe owners. It had been a long day for him, as there had not been that many people about and they weren't buying much today - he took £66 but had to pay £6 pitch fee & £20 storage rent, plus about a tenner in coffees and his lunch, to pass the time. Meaning he came home £30 the better, but what you have to remember is, even if he hadn't gone down today, he would have still had to pay his storage rent, so he was actually £50 better off well it seems better when you look at it like that, doesn't it?

He had some fruit and yoghurt and has gone to sleep for a while. He'll get up a bit later, take the dogs out, have his cereal, fruit & yoghurt for supper, and go back to bed. And he poor thing is aching all over. When he was packing up at the car boot on Friday, he fell over backwards heavily when trying to pull a loaded trolley over gravel, his backside s very sore after his cycling yesterday, and ten today, a roll of radiator reflector dropped on his head, breaking his glasses and giving him a bump and a headache. He has managed to fix his glasses, popping one lens back in, and twisting the frame back into shape, but it is only a temporary job.

Meanwhile, I have had a lovely relaxing day - all I've done is give the dogs one walk, washed and dry all the towels, plus do some paperwork - feel guilty really :o

What's everyone else been up to then?

By the way, St Steven, I am NOT jealous of your full roast beef dinner, even though I've only had a Mug Shot (pasta in sauce made by adding boiling water to contents of packet) over a tin of tuna chunks 000203DC.gif

    Hi 3dogs,

Wow mr 3dogs has been over doing it latley with hurting himself, trying to fix his van and then cycling. No wonder he is shatterd. Then smahing his specs.. It certainly has been a nice day today and looks like it will continue all week weather wise.
We have had visitors this afternoon which was nice. hence why we had a cooked meal at lunch time.
Will soon be going out for our drive to the coast and to watch the ships and ferries go by. Last night we did manage to see the new Cruise liner Queen Elizerbeth at Southampton.

Howdy'all, just got in from tutoring. Just brought washing in from the line. What a looong day. Mother of student insisted on taking me out for a lovely hotel meal 3 courses, including roast and full trimmings and a fantastic bread and butter pudding. Yummy. I taught her for 5 hours, she must be so tired now but was so happy that i had explained things to her. I have not done any of my own work though!!!

3Dogs bathing dogs is jolly hard work. I miss my doggie. Mr 3 Dogs oh dear. I hope you are better how awful, your back is achy and you hit your head and damaged your specs. 3Dogs give him a hug from me ok?

I do hope that Money is watching a good film. I should have gone out yesterday and seen one too but I didn't. Blood sugars have been excellent maybe because I am relaxed. I must wake up early to do my marking though. Soo much to do but i am being relaxed about it. I feel so chilled. I feel v happy. I hope you are happy too.

Wow lucky you SW, getting paid to tutor AND being treated to a lovely meal too - paying you AND feeding you - very good :j :j least you don't need to cook tonight :D

Mr 3Dogs is still in bed. I closed the door before when the dogs were in here with me, so they would not disturb him too much. I really should wake him soon, so he can have some supper. A friend gave him the telephone number of someone who may have a starter motor, so he will ring them in the morning - fingers crossed again everyone we'll have our fingers permanently crossed if this keeps up

Mam has been in bed all day today - call is much more difficult when she isn't feeling well - she speaks softer and doesn't understand when you say something different, so I mainly have to say yes or no, or repeat what she has said - if I say something else, she gets confused, and ends up just saying yes, when she has no idea what I am saying. Still she picked up during the call and we still had a laugh in the end, so that's the main thing.

Hello sweetie sorry i was on the phone for ages. Fingers crossed about the starter motor. It is so hard that your mum is so ill like that. Dementia is such a disabling illness. I am scared I shall lose my mum and dad, they are the only reason i am here I suppose. They are well at the moment though and so kind. I wish i could stop worrying about things.

Looks like it is a quiet night tonight. I am a bit tired. I have to wake up early and do some marking and then tomorrow do some English homework too.
