Can anyone recommend a safe site where I can download a free version of Adobe Acrobat?
It's nice to be important.....but it's more important to be nice

Assume you mean the Free Adobe Reader.
I would recommend you us an alternative like Foxit Reader the FREE version.0 -
I have Adobe Reader but was told that Adobe Acrobat has a setting which saves a pdf file to a smaller size (which is what I need).
Adobe reader doesn't have that (I checked). It's nice to be important.....but it's more important to be nice0 -
This should do it.
Download http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php
1. Open up your pdf file in a pdf viewer.
2. Select "Print" to print the pdf file.
3. Choose "Bullzip PDF Printer" as your virtual printer and click OK to print.
4. Change Quality from "Default" to "Screen" from the drop-down menu, and give a new pdf file name.
5. Click the "Save" button.0
