Asda odd pair of wellies

I bought a pair of wellies:rotfl: from Asda yesterday. I only tried one on in the shop, the left boot (they were tied together), as I have a permanently swollen left ankle due to surgery, so that is the boot that needs to fit best. I was quite happy with the wellies so bought them. When I got home I put the wellies on to walk the dog, and the right one felt slightly tighter, but I put that down to me having slightly stretched the left boot when I tried it on. I took the dog for a short walk, but the boot was still very tight, and starting to be painful when I got home. I took the boots off to have a look, and they both said size 4. However, holding them flat against each other the right boot is clearly about 1.5cm smaller than the left. I had a look at the reciept, and that showed I had also paid £1 more for them than was shown on the label, both of which I still have.
Having worn the boots once, am I able to return them for an exchange under the SAD FART rule as they are not satisfactory (different sizes) or fit for purpose for the same reason?
I haven't tried taking them back yet (no means of transport till next week) so I wanted to know where I stand before do.
Thanks

Hi - yes, return them - you're entitled to a refund. I don't think you'll have any problems with either refund or replacement - Asda are normally quite good.0
