mattress for adjustable bed

In one of my bedrooms I have one of those posh adjustable beds that operate with a remote control, it was my darling mother in laws and she died which is why we ended up with it. The mattress has got into quite a poor state, torn as well as marked and as the bed itself is in great condition I'd like to just replace the mattress. I'm not sure though if i need to look for a special sort of mattress that bends and twists, or whether any sprung mattress similar to the one already on it will do.
Has anyone else ever repalced a mattress on one of these beds and if so where do you recommend I start loooking?

Yes you can get replacement mattresses for adjustable beds. They do have to be a special design, as normal mattresses aren't designed to be bent. They come in many designs in both pocket sprung, reflex foam only, and reflex foam with memory foam.
You would beed to check the length of the mattress, as most adjustable beds are 6'6" long, rather than the normal 6'3" for a standard single.
They should start at not much more than £200 if you shop around.0 -
Thanks for that, I'll give it a go, a new mattress will make this bed as good as new.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
