I am trying to find the best deal for a student current accounts. I can't find any threads. Has this been discussed?

    When i was a student i found Natwest was the best - because you get a free 5 yr railcard which comes in handy! Also an interest free overdraft which you can increase each year

    If I had my time again I'd go for Natwest over Halifax for my student account, because a five year railcard would have been infinitely more valuable than the big overdraft I got with the Halifax.

    I like the Natwest account for the rail card, and I think the Lloyds account is pretty good as well. The NUS Extra card really is worthwhile!

    Be careful with Halifax though, the £3,000 overdraft is huge and will be very tough to clear.
