Shared equity (not onership) Repairs to Boiler

Hi Folks,
I have just moved in to a Shared equity property I have 70% and the housing association has 30%
the property is leasehold.
After moving in I have had trouble with the boiler ( I believe the previous owner knew of this?)
The boiler is part of the propery as far as Im concerned and I do pay a monthly service charge to the housing assosiation..however they refuse to help out with the boiler repairs or servicing.
If the property is eventually sold the housing association will get their 30% back.
My question is if they have an interest in the propery would it be reasonable to ask them to contribute to the repairs.

What did the solicitor explain to you when you bought it?
I suspect you have to do the repairs.0
