Post Office Mastercard

I've just received a variation of the terms of my Post Office Mastercard with my statements and it seems that from 1 November, you will not be able to preload the card and maintain a credit balance. A shame as that was a very useful feature of having the card.

What it also says is that any payment made which would put the account into credit will be refused and returned back to the original account.
Therefore, if making non-DD payments the account holder will have to be very careful to get it right as it could cost them in missed payment charges.
No doubt we'll see threads on that come November/December where people have made mistakes or not bothered to read the new terms and tried to put the account into the black.

Personally I've never understood why people would want to do it as it's always had the potential for card companies to block accounts and that can cause far bigger problems as we've seen here on MSE many times.
