Can't seem to get out of debt

I make more than the minimum payment each month on my credit card, probably just over but the interest lands me back in it again, it's pointless even paying it, but I just can not afford to pay more, with all the bills etc.

What to do?

Pay more. It's the only way.

For more specific help on managing your finances get over to the Debt-free Wannabe part of the board. You'll get loads of help there.

And stop spending on the card.

I rather assumed that as a blindingly obvious given.

But I think it does have value. :D

Why even have a credit card?

Apart from stuff like fights where you have to have one, I would not use the airline even then.

    Debit cards or cash tbh.

What's the APR? Do you have PPI on there?
    it's pointless even paying it
With the alternative being a default or CCJ, it's far from pointless!
    What to do?
Any one (preferably all) of these three strategies...

    1. Earn more (change jobs, get a 2nd job, overtime, etc)
    2. Spend less (debt-free wannabe board as suggested above)
    3. Restructure the debt (0% BT or, but not always the best option, a loan.
