    im totally sympathetic with your situation.
    your kids will always be your kids, but really youre doing her no favours at all. she has to learn that she has responsibilities, and if she cant be taught this from someone who loves her, its going to be a whole lot harder when someone else forces her to 'grow up'

    I understand completely. If it was someone else...I'd give them the same advice. I've brought her up alone since she was born, so it would be hard...no matter what she does...to just turn my back on her.

    FudgeCake, what you are describing is in effect a type of domestic violence. Perhaps you could contact Women's Aid for advice?

    fudgecake........................forcing the issue with her now doesnt mean youre turning your back on her!
    no one is suggesting that you cut her out of your life totally and permenantly. things obviously cant continue the way they are, and taking action sooner, rather than later will be less painful in the long run.
