won a free holiday, but had to attend a presentation to collect it.

Been cold called, won a holiday and you were not aware you had entered a competition. Its time to name and shame these companies to save other people being misled. Share your experiences here. Its most likely you will end up at a timeshare presentation, or a new kind of promotion is fractional ownership of a property, yacht or motorhome.Beware you will be tied in and have to pay annual maintenace fees.

  • my mum and dad done this, although they were aware it was timeshares etc, but they got a cheap holiday out of it for them and thier friends, they had to attend a presentation here and one whilst they were abroad for an hour or so, yes they did get the hard sell but my parents dont mind saying no. so they had a good time from it but i wouldnt recommend it especially if your easily intimadated, i couldnt do it and im quite strong minded.

It's not something I would entertain.

I could be strong-minded enough but I just wouldn't be all that relaxed if I was being perpetually hassled. It kind of defeats the object of having a holiday.
