Creating web site?

Hi, have never visited this forum before. I know very little about computers - nothing really beyond surfing the net and emails. I have some ideas about starting my own website but I don't know if this would be beyond my skills. Can anyone recommend any starter books I could read to give me more idea or give me a clue what I should be doing first?

The technical aspect is of little importance if you do not answer the main question of - WHY?
You need to know why you need a website in order create a good website. If you don't then you will lose interest very quickly and you will never get around to finishing it.0 -
