Unsubscribe from this Forum

When using the boards I typically go to 'User CP' and look through the forums on my 'Subscribed Forums' list, which involves clicking on each of the subscribed forum names to open them in a separate tab. However, I find that sometimes I inadvertently click on the 'Unsubscribe from this Forum' links (which are immediately adjacent to the forum names) which invisibly unsubscribes me from that forum - I only realise some days later when I notice that my forum list has got shorter.

Does anybody else have this problem? I can't help thinking it would be a good idea to either move the 'Unsubscribe from this Forum' link, or require confirmation from the user that they really do want to unsubscribe.

    Nope. :D

I do as you do, but I never unsubcribe accidentally. :D

I'd end up screaming with frustration if I had to confirm again, every time I wanted to unsubscribe. It's like when you delete something and the 'do you really want to delete this' box comes up...it's annoying and I switched that off as soon as I found out how to.

I know what you mean, but I'd imagine that unsubscribing is something that is generally done fairly infrequently, so confirmation becomes less of an issue. The problem with an accidental unsubscribe is that you not only have to resubscribe, you have to figure out which forums(s) you've unsubscribed from!

Moving the link seems a better solution though, or perhaps there could be a way of 'locking' your subscriptions in some way.

I just use browser bookmarks to go straight to the boards I'm interested in.

Works better for me than subscribing to boards and then going in via the UserCP every time.

Thanks, that's a good idea, and of course has the advantage that you can open multiple boards with a single click.
