Catalouge purchase - What can I do?

Good morning,
I purchased a zip up cardigan from the very.co.uk at the beginning of this month. I wore it twice and washed it. I washed it on it's own as it's new and followed the washing instructions. It's now really out of shape and just don't feel or wear the same.
Is there anything I can do? I don't have any experience of returning things to the catalouge as I have never had a problem previously. I have heard some bad stories about very. Any advice?
Do I just phone them up and tell them I want to return it because of the above and then send it back?
Thanks

many many years ago i bought a jumper from a catalog, and after the first wash it smelt funny, couldn't put my finger on it,
got a friend to wash it in her machine thinking it was mine (it was machine washable) and it still smelt funny, as if it was moldy, did matter how we carefully dried it, any way after a few months i decided to tell the catalog people about it saying i was disappointed, they asked me to return it and asked did i want a refund.0 -
you can go onto the Very website and request a return on there...0

I once worked for a famous catalogue company. Perhaps the one mentioned in this thread....I can neither confirm or deny this for obvious reasons. Anyway......we had a customer complaining the suit we sent them smelled funny. They sent it back to us, we tested it (no idea how) and it turned out that the odd smell was embalming fluid. A previous customer had obviously ordered the suit, put it on a dead relative for the funeral/open casket, then stripped them after the funeral and sent the suit back for a refund.
I heard some crazy stories in my time there, but that is the only one that still sticks in my mind!0
