EURO 5 Light goods tax
Hi
Im new to this forum, i hope someone can help.
I purcased a new 59 plate Isuzu rodeo Denver Max four door pick up Sept 1st 09, i pay £200 tax, the guy next door has an L200 06 plate and pays £125 on a EURO 4 tax bracket. DVLA say the tax goes on emmisions, my Isuzu is less than the L200, Isuzu dont have a clue. Looking on the DVLA site i think my Pick up comes under the EURO 5 and should pay £125. I have also been told the manufacturer needs to be on some sort of Euro list, Isuzu know nothing about this. Im getting so confused, please help if you can.
Joops

DVLA tax it depending on the MANUFACTURERS specified emissions. Therefore it is Isuzu who would have to inform DVLA of the emissions.0

DVLA shows 0g/km So i presume they dont know what the emissions are.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

There was a special VED rate for Euro4 light commercials to encourage people to buy them, this ended in 06 so you like me pay the standard £200 commercial VED.
I think without looking it up that the cheaper rate of £125 was for years 02 to 06 and only applied to Euro 4.
Commercials are not taxed on emissions...yet, but i wouldn't be surprised to see twin cabbed dual purpose pick ups getting hit in the future...purely in the interests of the environment you understand.
If your Isuzu or my Hilux were taxed as cars we'd be paying over £400 so be grateful for small mercies.0
