SSE price increase - Ebico impact?

Another round of price increases announced by SSE (Scottish & Southern Energy), effective 1/1/2007.

Will this filter through to Ebico prices?

I doubt if Ebico will increase their prices as they have only just increased
their prices, I think from the 1st of September.

This rise was long anticipated. I think you can consider Ebicos last set of price rises to be part of the same round as these. I don't think there will be a knock-on effect. SSE are just coming to the end of what is effectively a 6 month price-cap.

Looks like there are no surprises in the amount SSE are increasing their prices by. I switched to Atlantic shortly before all the recent prices rises, and it looks like they will still be cheapest in January unless another supplier makes the bold move to drop their prices.

Ebico are not owned by SSE they just use their structure for supplying bills/readings etc so it sohludn't affect them at all.

Whom ever Ebico actually acquire their power from, their necessity to afjust prices will depend on how well they have done their sums, negotiated their contracts and the stance taken on passing on price adjustments. From history I would guess they would felay as long as possible. They seem a canny ethical bunch. Ethicalness and canniness are not mutually exclusive.
