Be careful to deselect the option to install the Ashampoo Toolbar. I don't think that you need it. :)

Donnie. I put in a fake email address as i know that Ashampoo sends loads of emails. I got a long code back that seems to register it but cant find anywhere to put it. But it looks like its registered anyway .
  • imho is right, the amount of Spam I receive from this company is ridiculous but some of their offers are pretty decent.

I downloaded and now use (to replace Nero) the Burning Studio mentioned in Donnie's OP. So far, I've found it to be an excellent piece of software.
  • I use Ashampoo software and I think it's pretty good.
I have Burning Studio 9 (which I bought) and am thinking about Burning Studio 10.
The Burning Studio 10 (advanced) that they are giving away free is a stripped down version of their Burning Studio 10. It will burn movies that are copied but will not convert compressed video (.avi .divx etc) into dvd's that can be played on any dvd player and neither will it burn a slideshow.
I suspect that these two things are what most people want the software for.
At present they are offering Burning Studio 10 for about £20 and in the not too distant future it will be less than £10. At that price it would be a good buy.
I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!

You actually give your real email address?? :D As aforementioned, I'm not sure if they need to be registered anyway, but it won't hurt to grab the serial code and to keep it in case you need it.

    Try Mailinator

If you just want to evaluate/play around with the software before deciding to install, use a Sandbox

You should have known better than to use such a thing, other than in a test environment.

The are so many warnings about Registry Cleaners in general. I even suffered with CCleaner's Registry cleaner some years back. So I wouldn't judge them on just that.
Have used Ashampoo software in the past without mishap.

Thanks. As I said I have Burning Studio 9 (which does burn compressed video).
The point I was making is that the free one they are offering does not.
