Spraying fence panels

I have just moved into a house with fences of concrete posts and wood latice panels. Are the spray guns suitable for this type of fence when retreating the panels.I presume you would have to remove the panels to protect posts from over spray if so?
If the fence is your neighbours do you need their permission to treat your side ?
Thanks

I would. But on the other hand I ain't got this new fangled technlogy for fences - use a brush meself.I have just moved into a house with fences of concrete posts and wood latice panels. Are the spray guns suitable for this type of fence when retreating the panels.I presume you would have to remove the panels to protect posts from over spray if so?
Yes because its his property and his responsibility to maintain it. In the limit you could be considered to be committing criminal damage by painting it or hanging trellis or puttings nails in or anything "on your side" without his express permission. Conversely he can paint the side which faces you bright pink if he wants and you have no say in the matter or right to object. Practically though he should be happy that you are prepared to save him the time and money. If the fence is your neighbours do you need their permission to treat your side ?
