Moving from England to Ireland whilst claiming benefits?

I currently live with my partner and we are both in receipt of benefits. I receive; ESA, DLA and Housing Benefit. My partner claims; IS, DLA and Housing benefit.
We have friends and family that live in Ireland and feel we would be able to cope better closer to them. However as we are both on low income we don't have anything in the way of savings so we can't afford to go without our regular income.
If we moved to Ireland would we be able to transfer our benefit claims over smoothly?
Would there be any problems with us moving to Ireland and claiming straight away?
Thanks for any replies.
Thanks

NI is in the UK and the benefits would be transferred and would normally continue. The UK benefits would stop if going to Eire/Irish Republic.0

Republic of Ireland is where we wanted to move to. If our English benefits stop would we be able to start claiming benefits in Republic of Ireland?

It would be like moving to any EU country, you cannot just arrive and expect to receive benefits. Eire is in really dire financial state at the moment and has since the recession.
There is no free NHS there for a start. You have to apply and be accepted for doctor's visit etc, have a card to get free. Again just arriving and expecting to receive won't happen. They have cut benefits and pensions to the bone.0
