HI, Ive been offered a job, just 8 hrs a week at minimum wage which will give me a total of £2,400 per annum. Does anyone know if I need to declare this & how it will affect my tax credits. Out of the £46.50 a week Im paying out £43.00 in childcare. Didnt get anywhere when rung tax credits help line!! Nic

Yes, you have to declare all changes in circumstance. Ie, you now have a job....0

Yes you have to declare it as taxable income. If this is the only taxable income you have it won't affect your claim as still under the income threshold of £6420. If you recieve any other taxable income, including taxable social security benefits, you need to add then all together to see if there's an impact.0
