Hi,
I bought a pair of trainers off ebay via BIN on 19th September and paid immediately via Paypal. The boots were advertised with a 1st class postage cost of £5 and the seller mentioned all postage was tracked.
I received an email from the seller the same day saying the boots would be posted the next day for delivery Thursday/Friday of last week.
After not hearing anything I sent a very polite note to the seller on 26th September asking them to confirm postage (it was a bank holiday on Monday in Scotland so I wanted to give it until then in case the post was just slow), the seller responded apologising saying he had been really ill but would post Wednesday for delivery Thursday/Friday this week. I replied on Wednesday night saying 'No problem, everyone gets ill sometimes but could you confirm the trainers are now posted as my 9 year old is hassling me (wants them for a football match on Saturday)'. Since then I've heard nothing nor have the trainers been delivered.
I'm tempted to believe the sellers illness story as feedback up until now has been good (although he only has a score of 19) and the buyer of another pair which sold the 20th September hasn't left any feedback yet either, also the trainers were only £10.
The problem I have is that we go on holiday on Thursday next week and, if these don't arrive, my son has no decent shoes!
Should I just wait?

Have you done a search to see if there's been any activity by them?0

rose_sparky,
Emm I've searched their closed sales, and the one ending 20th September was the last one. Is there anything else I can search?

Check their bidding history including completed items
Check their feedback which they have left for others
You can also fill in the info here and get their telephone number - maybe call them and see what's happening with the trainers

Personally i would give it until Monday post and then just start a NPS complaint. I would just leave it until after the weekend as gesture of goodwill only.
If you are worried about your post check local sorting office if you get a chance.0 -
shellsuit - I'll do that Thanks!
Hintza - I've had other deliveries, including one today, from other ebay sellers this week so I really don't think it's the post. In fact one was posted first class royal mail on Wednesday and was delivered at 11 (that's what prompted me to ask the question).
It's a hard one this as if he really is ill the last thing I want to do is to badger him over a £10 pair of trainers!

You have contacted him, he has apolgised and then given a new delivery date. Giving him benefit of doubt the first time is fine but after that and allowing the weekend as period of grace I wouldn't take anymore nonsense.0
