Package tour booking/rights advice!

I just booked a trip (flights + hotel) with Last Minute for a holiday in November. I used a Visa Debit card. I was told after I booked that I'd hear from the tour operator (Holiday Collection) afterwards - turns out my contract is with them, not Last Minute.
I've never booked a package tour before and am now nervous, since several companies have gone bust recently. What I want to know is - when am I entitled to get my confirmed British Airways flight tickets and hotel reservations? Can I ask for them immediately? Ideally, I'd like those in my hands soon, so I that I can at least have peace of mind, since then the only thing that the tour operator will be providing will be the short transfer from the airport to our hotel. Maybe I'm just being paranoid?
