I did this last year but didn't win anything (that I know of, i didnt check all the time) can someone remind me what you do if you win, just thinking I mite be able to check for my name via my mobile phone while at work, but couldnt email them if I'd won..but I'd be able to ring them iykwim...

Hi all, I have just registered and it was such fun last time round I'm looking forward to losing my life to this again and having a giggle with you all.

I'm going to be away for a few days so I would love to be added to the list if that is ok? but I am sure that every hour there will be a panic to find the correct person?

I've decided I'm not entering myself because I can't check it every hour and I'd be gutted if it had built up to a big amount and I missed my name!

I'm not sure if anyones pointed out this part of the terms yet (I've not read through the whole thread as it's long), but I'd be very very careful about claiming for each other, or you could all be disqualified, and that's not something anyone wants to see happen :

Grounds for Disqualification

1. Bauer reserves the right to disqualify any entrants and their submissions if they fail to comply with the Competition Terms or the Website Terms of Use or Privacy Policy or if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant is unfit to participate for reasons of health and safety. Bauer’s decision will be final in all matters.

2. Bauer reserves the right to disqualify any entrants and their submissions if in Bauer’s reasonable opinion an entry has been made or a prize has been won illegitimately and improperly by or on behalf of the entrant.

3. In the event of disqualification from the Competition a replacement contestant will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant and will be subject to these Competition Terms.

Edited to add: Having re-read it, I'm not 100% sure if that means what I think it means, but, I'd still be really careful because if there's only a few people with lists, and most of the claims are coming from their IP addresses, then it could look strange from Magic's end, plus, if both the entrant, and the person with their name on the list, claim at the same time, from different IP addresses, that could also look odd from Magic's end!

I hope no one minds me pointing this out, I just don't want to see anyone disqualified, especially the list keepers who are giving up their time every hour to help!

Are the lists not to contact the person to say their name has come up? I thought thats how we did it last year rather than actually claiming for each other.

Ahh, that should be ok then, I hadn't realised that, I thought the list was to claim if the person wasn't able to, because people mention being at work and not being able to get access to the site, so I wasn't sure how they would be able to claim if they couldn't access the site even if they knew their name was up?

Edit: I've just read the whole thread and it does say people claimed for each other, so hopefully my previous post might be of help if people hadn't noticed that bit in the terms.

This came up a lot last year. The terms were exactly the same (see this post) and no one that we know of was disqualified on those grounds, although I find it hard to believe Magic wouldn't have known about the thread. Despite that, now that we have an hour to claim I was planning on checking if the person was on and sending a pm first before claiming for them.

i feel so bad:-( those who are on my list i will send to crailsia, i have not got time now to check my other pms as my friend asked if i coud stand in for her at work so im out at 7.45 this morning and wont be able to check all day:-( the same for tuesday and wensday should be back to normal thursday friday im so sorry
