I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this or not.
I just got my bill from next & at the bottom it says they've added a £15 service charge, which i think is a little steep.
We have had 1 previous bill from them which we didn't pay because they had charged us for curtains which we had sent back. We have sent them the proof that we had sent it back & were waiting to hear from them.
Needless to say we haven't heard anything from them until this morning when i got another bill, with the curtains still being charged & the extra £15.
Do i have to pay this £15?
It just seems a little steep, what is a service charge anyway, is it the cost of sending you a reminder letter?
Thanks for you help

This is their mistake and you should not pay. Get on to them straight away and dispute the charge. Explain it is because of a returned item and you have already supplied proof. You might need to explain this to them several times before it sinks in. Just don't give up and pay to get rid of them.
It might be a good idea to pay off everything you owe them and stop using them, just leaving the curtains and disputed charges on the account. This will make things easier if it drags on too long.
Are you calling a premium rate number? If so then deal with them by post and keep proof of posting certificates.

Next Customer Service seem to get more thumbs up than down on MSE - let us know how it goes (hopefully just a "letters crossed in the post" thing).0
