Citation to attend court re accident

I was in a motorway accident over 3 years ago. The other party admitted liability at the end of last year / start of this year. They paid for travel costs we incurred following accident, medical costs and insurance excess. I suffered from whiplash and have problems to this day.
They offered me compo of £3k which i refused, then £4k which i refused again. Their last offer was £5k which I neither accepted or rejected as my solicitor advised me that she required me to have a physcological assessment which could affect the compo value. The assessement showed that I had anxiety as a passenger on motorways and would benefit from seeing physcologist to help over come this and get behind the wheel again.
I also underwent an orthopedic assessment in spring this year which confirmed that I still suffer from the injury and advised that physio would be beneficial. The other party was supposed to arrange appointment for this. When the physio people tried to book appointment, they realised that my injury was over 3 years old & said they can't help me & that they will get back to the insurance company. To this day I'm waiting for an appointment (have advised the solicitir of this).
Things are getting worse slowly...have started to get pins n needles in hands occasionally....and my upper back sometimes has sensation that its being touched (when it isn't) ..used to get this in my neck after the accident but it seems that its spreading. Also been suffering from torticolis which is pure agony....sometimes not even comfortable to sit, eat or stand. I take pain killers for this and it does get a lot better by the end of the day but I just don't know what the extent will be if things continue like this.
Anyway this morning I received a letter from my solicitor for me the pursuer to attend court to "prove our case". Solicitor on holiday and no-one at the office can explain whats going on.
Please can anyone tell me why the case may be going to court when the other party has admitted liability. I'm really worried that with trick questions they may flip the blame and put me down as being liable for the accident when I wasn't.
Anyone been through this before?
Would really appreciate feedback.

Although they have admitted liability they won't have agreed on the sum being asked to compensate you, hence your solicitor has called their bluff by starting legal proceedings intended to conclude the matter.
Hopefully this will concentrate minds and the matter will get settled out of court.
But do speak to your solicitor on his return for the full sp.0
