Hi all,
Im currently banking with LLoydstsb and as im sure many of you are aware the are introducing the 5pound charge for overdrafts as well as the 19% apr on top.
I read something on this site last week refering to a couple of credit cards that will allow a balance transfer from an overdraft to a credit card with a 0% apr for 12 or so months plus a fee of some sort. If these are still avail, could someone point me in the right direction, cheers.
ps I did try to scroll back through the various posts and tried the search but you guys seem to chat alot

Virgin credit cards allow you to transfer cash into a current account at 0% for 13 months but there is a 3-4% BT rate xx0

You need a Super Balance Transfer card, the best cards are the SBT cards from the list below.
http://www.stoozing.com/0fees.php
1/ You get the card,
2/ Ask them to transfer the money to your bank account
3/ Your credit card is left with whatever you ask to transfer + 4% on top (as that is the SBT fee)
4/ You have xx amount of months to clear it at 0%.
NOTES:
You must pay at least the minimum repayment on the card each month though to keep the 0% rate.
For instance in the case of a 12 months 0% deal, you can't just pay nothing for 6 months, then pay the balance off in the remaining 6 months. Or break up payments for instance pay the minimum the first month, then nothing on the 2nd, 3rd months, then pay on the 4th month.
That's the basics.0 -
I have just done a SBT into my account to clear overdrafts using the MBNA credit card. Was very impressed to find out last week that the BT fee was 1.9% and not the 4% originally stated when I applied.
£4200 transferred, with a £70 fee.
Just make sure you budget properly to pay it off on time and don't use the card for further spendingOverdrafts transferred to MBNA £953.40/£4279.80 Car insurance (on CC) £461.98/£751.98  Bank of mum and dad £1500/£5000Total debt repaid £2915.38/£10,031.78 (29%):T Owed [STRIKE]£10,031.78[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £7400[/STRIKE] £7116.40 Pay off as much as you can in 2011 challenge £1127.60/£40000
