Hi guys,
I'm desperately needing a cheap canvas wardrobe - one where I can hang clothes, and also with shelves, for my student house (landlord has to technically supply a wardrobe for us each, so the one in my room is about 2m tall - and can JUST ABOUT fit a few tops in it *sigh*. Its not even tall enough for a pair of trousers to hang - and I'm only 5 foot 2 !!!
Had a look on ebay, but they seem to be the same rough price, and if not they are collection only - and are far far away.
The cheapest one I can find so far is :
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8758828/Trail/C%24cip%3D41700.Furniture%2Band%2Bfurnishings%3EC%24cip%3D41711.Storage%3EC%24cip%3D41722.Bedroom%2Bcanvas%2Bstorage.htm
Any help MUCH APPRECIATED !
(EDIT : Was also planning to use all my saved nectar points if I get this one as its in argos, so hopefully will get a few pounds off too)

A few weeks ago B&Q had proper double wardrobes for £38. They weren't great but they were excellent value and would look better than a canvas wardrobe.
Don't know if the offer is still on though ??0 -
Thanks guys !!
I did try ikea, and they old had one which wasn't canvas but see-through corregated plastic for the same price. It was dreadful.
Next stop - lidil and B&Q !
Thanks a lot !!!

HTH ClaireHead in the sand doesnt work......What doesnt kill you makes you stronger !!:T0 -
I have been loking around for one of these myself
my MFI wardrobe is on its last legs. All the ones I
have seen have been really flimsy affairs that I
am sure if you filled them with clothes would just
collapse under the weight.
I believe IKEA do a good one have not seen it yet
but there is one in John Lewis on display. It looks
very much like the others but one big difference
the frame work ,rail and shelves a strong steel.
It comes in a box that very heavy(free delivery)
its £95 and up to now its in the lead.
But I want to see the IKEA one which is I
believe £85,but again is strong enough to
take the weight of anything you hang up in it.
I do have one of the clothes rails from IKEA
stood in a walk in cupboard and its been excellent
But I need more wardrobe space0 -
I had a similar problem when I moved into my rented house - no wardrobes and no money. I decided to go for a boho chic look and have my clothes on display. The above rail is in black wrought iron and looks really nice. There is a shelf at the bottom for shoes, which I have in storage boxes, and hooks on the end poles for bags and scarves. The rail didn't cost much more than the very functional ones in argos for £15! A great bargain!0
