I am 35 years old and my wife is 29 and we are expecting our first child in July.
I want to take out a health policy for the family.
I havn`t done any research yet, so I was wondering if anybody could tell me "" the way to go about it"
Should I contact BUPA or are there other companies I could contact.
What sort of costs should I be paying.
Basically, any advice would help me a great deal.
Many Thanks
PAUL

Your options are to do some research yourself and dig out some prices or you could ask an IFA to shop round on your behalf.
There are many levels of cover with different terminology with different providers. A bronze, silver, gold level of cover with one provider will not necessarily compare equally with a basic, standard or super level of cover with another.
You really need to list the key things that you want covered and then give that list to an IFA or go spend a night or two on the computer doing your own research and prices. I just quickly checked my research software and it shows 57 policies currently available.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Do you have to pay for a IFA ?
I suppose they get commission if they sell a certain type of policy.
Has anybody on here got a health policy.
How much roughly are you paying per month.
Can somebody list a few companies I could try.
Best Regards

You can pay for an IFA who will then source the product with no commission deducted. Or you dont have to pay and the IFA will be paid by the provider.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
