My boss wants me to make some PDF files smaller, but I'm not sure how to do this (easily!)
Some documents on the office pc, (which were scanned and are about 35mb) need to be 5mb (to be uploaded to the company website), and I'm not sure how to do this.
Will it be much poorer quality? (Mostly text but a few tables and diagrams).
Most of the bigger documents are between 3 and 10 pages in total.
Any advice gratefully received...

I used to use FreePDFXP under Windows to create PDFs. IIRC it has presets for different quality.
If I scan a document I use 150dpi for text and 300dpi for photos. If color is not important, scan it in b&W or greyscale.0
