Have you given us the full story here? Why not say "I moved out and now they are after me for all the !!!! I left behind"? Much clearer

Yes, that was my reading of the situation, but I was just pointing out that even if they'd noticed at the inspection, there's not a lot the LL can do about it until the end of the tenancy anyway.
At the end of the day, it's the tenant's responsibility to return the property in the same state they received it - LL should not have to point things out to them!0
