Family Travel Insurance with pre-existing med. conditions

Hi There a family of four travelling to Tenerife
My wife has epilepsy and as always is a 'special case' and accrues
extra charges for our travel insurance
The quotes for a family of four in normal circumstances are very very good but most of these companies wont entertain us when we mention the epilepsy
Question - Is it cheaper to take out a policy for the three family members without the pre-existing conditions and a seperate policy for the member who has
OR
What is the best company to approach to cover us all
The last time we went we paid something in the region of 45 or 50 quid for the four of us covering my wifes medical condition for a 10 day stay

The problem with separate policies if that for some reason a person needed to accompany the individual with the pre-existing condition then they would not be covered.
Last time one of my relatives (who has a fairly serious medical condition) had to travel she paid approx £300-£350 for a fortnights holiday insurance, but it did cover her and her companion. (just as well as it happens)0 -
If you buy separate policies you will all still have to declare the epileptic in the party if any problem with your wife's condition would affect the others.0
