Hi we are looking at buying a Audi A4 estate and have run an HPI check and this is what has come back:
The current plate was transferred to this vehicle on 08/09/2010
L** **D was applied to this vehicle on 02/04/2007
I've had a look online, and a few sites have said the HPI check should give details of the finanace company (so I could phone them and find out if it is settled or not), but it doesn't.

- There are no interests recorded against L** **D
- There are no interests recorded against T*** **A
- This VRM has been recorded as having an outstanding finance agreement
- An outstanding finance agreement was recorded on 19/05/2008 against a A4
- There are no interests recorded against T*** **A

If you run S* **F through an insurance website quote system what car does it come back to?
If it is an A4 as well but newer/different spec I would think the old owner of your prospective vehicle just keeps buying A4's from a dealer on finance and putting their personal reg on it.

Thanks for that - it comes back as an 08 plate Audi A4, which would be why it's still showing finance I'm guessing, being only 2 years old.0
