Any accounts which aren't savings or current that pay?

My husband is going to work in Nigeria for 3 weeks and will be paid by BACS into an account.
I expressed concerns about giving out his current account details and he has decided to open another account purely for the reason to get this money paid into and secure our other monies.
I know that some banks pay between £50 & £100 to switch current accounts but we don't want to do this and would like to see if there are any banks which offer money just to open an account with them?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.

Halifax Reward account pays £50 via TopCashback for opening, with no commitment to switch needed.
If fraud is worrying you, I'd suggest getting the wage paid in to a savings account though and then moving it from there.0 -

The topcashback page says you have to switch to get the £50.
Regardless, if you don't want to switch there's no reason why you can't just open the account anyway and not claim the switching bonus. It is just a normal bank account after all.0 -
