  • Hello guys... I havent updated this for a while and since Bankruptcy is now here and kind of over, I would like to share the next process with you if you like..... here is an update of what happened oin the day...

The world is still here.. Nothing has melted or changed and I havent gone to hell !!

What a long day it was. I think it was made worse the fact that we went B as a partnership and apparently they dont get many.. So we were in both the court and the OR office for a while. The court was OK.. A bit daunting sat in a big court room with a judge sat up high.. He was the oldest man Ive ever seen.. But he asked a few bits adn pieces.. to be nosey I thing. But the order was made at 11:05. Then after 1/12 hour wait for our papers we were ushered accorss town to the OR.

She was nice, a few giggles and laughs.. Very efficient. What did un-nerve me a little was the fact she could see we were nervous, so she seemed to come accross a bit harsh at times.. Even through the Purgery act at us if we lied to her !! I have nothing to hide or lie about... Its all in the open now . At least im now clear of any debt.

So told us about the house, bank accounts etc etc and all were fine, just as we thought. We have to have separate interviews next week and then a joint one about the buisiness. Ive nothing to hide, I can only tell her and show her all I know and have.

Ive been into the bank today and they have said they are fine with it and as we have no debt with them, we can keep the accounts and they will simply apply an indicator to our file. So we dont need to change banks and all the mess that goes with that.

Everything seems just as normal, What is nice is I can now call the DCA's when I get a letter and simply tell them, Its quite amusing when they finish security and then do the normal 'have you called to pay the debt today' he he...

Im in work till friday this week.. then we are gonna get trollied all weekend.. cant wait.... Hope you are all well... My next update (big one) will be after the OR meeting on 21/11, that will be a long day... But I cant tell anything what I dont know can I ?

  • Hey Mike

Just seen this. Glad to hear it went ok. Lots more complicated than mine but at least the court bit is done.

Its a bit weird, keep expecting something horrific to land on the doorstep but I hear next to nothing from the OR. Took them about 5 weeks to send me a letter confirming reciept of the extra info they requested at the meeting.

    Best of luck

  • Hi guys... Its the OR day tomorrow. Have spent many hours going through everything and printing off endless statements and spreadsheets for the OR to make it as painless as possible. Im in at 10am, then I go through the business detailes 1pm, then OH joins me after work at 4pm... Its going to be a long hard day.

Theres nothing to hide or be ashamed of, so it shouldnt be too bad. One more stap along the way and hopefully we are at the end of this !!
