Atari Ya is my favourite and best sushi stop - suppliers to many great japanese restaurants london wide. If you hop on a bus you'll be there in no time: 20 James St, London W1U 1EH
Itsu are good too with several London restaurants - one in Picadilly too if you don't want to venture too far!

Pop in to the Japan Centre on Piccadilly eat in or take away or try Benihana as they sometimes have specials on and the chef is the cabaret act as well.
The Japan Centre also sells Japanese food in its store inside so take something home with you as well.0 -
I'm sorry, I can't think of anything worse suited to a buffet than sushi! Sushi is a dish that demands high quality, fresh produce and skilled chefs to produce - neither of which lends itself well to fixed price buffets. Think about the quality of Pizza Hut buffet pizzas - only a third as good as their standard pizza, which isn't that good to begin with...
Totally agree with kb36 about Atari-Ya, I tried this in Golders Green and would agree that it's probably the best in London (without spending a serious amount of cash at least!) - and thanks, kb36, because I didn't know about James St! Haven't tried Itsu myself but have heard good things.
diable's recommendation of Japan Centre is also a good one - good sushi at a good price - though s/he can't have been in a while because Japan Centre isn't on Piccadilly any more! It moved round the corner to Lower Regent Street a while back. Would avoid Benihana though - tends to be rather expensive.
I could also add Misato to the list of suggestions. I haven't been yet, but have heard rave reviews about it and it is certainly cheap. Blink and you would miss it, but for the queues snaking out of the door - which surely speaks for itself?!0 -
Atari Ya in Kingston too depending on which neck of the woods you are in!0

Hi Sushi in Soho offers all you can eat. 13.50 on the weekends and 12.50 during the week. Good quality food and a wide selection. Much better value that the high street equivalents... Yo Sushi for instance:mad:0

Yo Sushi are doing an offer at the moment which I believe they've extended ( http://www.uktraveloffers.com/2010/09/your-passport-to-40-off-yo-sushi/ ) - might be worth looking into.0
