Advice Needed on Life Insurance

Hi my name is Shane and i am currently residing in the Chicago area. As of now, i haven't started any sort of financial planning and desparately need do. Just to start of , i was thinking of getting a good life insurance policy done. Only issue is that i am a newbie and i am kind of a dumb blond at the whole finance thingy. So would appreciate guidance on this issue. Thanks in advance for the help

This is a UK site, did you know?
You may be better off talking to a local financial adviser who could advice you on all your financial planning needs. With the info you have posted, there is nothing really to say other than this, and don't goto a salesman pretending to be an adviser, find a real independent financial adviser to look after you.
