two chairs I reupholstered & painted. A shop in Hythe has kindly sold them for me- my first ever shabby sales0

I use calcium carbonate when making chalk paint. I find it mixes really easily, ratio 2 paint to 1 cc. I buy it from Amaz0n.0

very nice chalky,
i use plastic measuring spoons a tbs being 15ml even thats debatable) for my pop and a 100ml syringe for my paint, i am a bit OTT on measuring but thats me.
i also have a kilo eyed up on amazon im not certain but as its not fulfilled by amazon i think its free postage but not certain.
thats seems a lot of chalk camelot, im not suggesting you are wrong just seems it would be cloggy, do you add water or just mix straight in.
i am a bit edgy about being certain of the mix as most of what i paint now are either bureaus or dressers and id hate to do it then it failed.0 -
just ordered some chalkysoil, below is the link and it was free postage.

reading the reviews on it, read this one and thought of you ...
"Did raise an eyebrow when the neighbour looked through the kitchen window to see me sat at the table with a big bag of white powder and a small set of scales though ha ha ha, I had to explain what it was and what I was doing ( weighing up treatment dosages )0 -
ok I ordered that one too. Was eyeing up a 4kg tub for 6.50 when I stumbled upon one product that was grey and thought hmm, risky.0

didnt see a 4kg one but i will give this a try first, see how it goes.
i can imagine how odd it may look measuring out from a big bag of chalk.0 -

Fab! - Which shop's that - I was down there last week lusting over lots of things in the shop that's almost opposite the Malt House."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
"stuff" At totally the other end of the high st, it's cheaper than the antique shops, and most of the charity shops too. You walk past the Cats Protection charity shop and it's a minute or so further on. At the Malthouse end there's a shop selling Autentico chalk paints etc that's interesting. And loads of other eye candy shops on the way. We go to Hythe once a week or so and have a picnic on or near the beach.0

Ah ok - I forgot that was down there, I normally get to the cats protection shop and then head back up the other end. I shall have a look next time I'm down there.
I saw the paint shop last time, didn't bother going in but wondered how long it will last, don't think it's in the best position. I used to work in the high street many years ago, so many businesses pop up and stay for a few months and then vanish...others stay for years and you wonder how."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W.
