    I found something out today.

(The Honourable) Kirsty Allsopp and Cath Kidston are paternal cousins.

In a funny way, this makes a kind of sense.....

I had my first ever crochet lesson today, and have started on a granny square. I may be gone some weeks.

Can anyone recommend a good white paint for woodwork please. Last time I used Dulux Once gloss and I wasn't impressed by it. Also, will I have to remove the present gloss or will a sand down be okay? I'll be painting inside doors, skirting boards and windows. Thanks.

Kirsty Allsopp's dad is Cath Kidston's uncle. I think but I'm not sure that Cath Kidston's mum is one of his sisters.

Cath Kidston's grandfather was a famous racing driver.

if the fathers are brothers the children are cousins.
If the fathers are cousins then the children are second cousins

('paternal' was the reason I assumed fathers)

sanding should be fine. Last time I had to paint woodwork white I used emulsion followed by varnish in matt because I find it easier to stop either of those dripping than gloss!
You could chalk paint then varnish and miss out the sanding!

Other than that, I also find satinwood a lot easier to use than gloss

I'm starting to think of xmas crafts (sorry for using the c word so early:D) and I am going to need some coloured spray paints. I've been looking around (and on the internet) but they are all so expensive,
£5+ I've bought gold and silver sprays from the £1 shops in the past but I don't think I've ever seen other colours. Please can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks
Last time I got spray paints they were car paints in the Halfords sale - lots of colours and some metallic ones as well
