Wait till you see the before pics... :eek:
It hasn't been updated since the 50's - 60's, and has (I think) the original (and now very grubby) blue and red 1930's tile floor.
I love it :heart2:
Everyone who has seen it has been horrified. They have no vision...:happylove0 -
some of my best bargains have been filthy - Like I'm painting a wooden bread bin I bought for £2 which was well grimy. I had to scrub the hell out of it and similar ones that were cleanish were £8 or more in the charity shops! Ok I won't use it for bread but it's starting to look very sweet.
Good luck with your vintage kitchen. I had a rented place a long time ago that had a quarry tile floor and old butler sink and pantry that had been there since 1899!0 -

in progress pic!
Thanks for posting the photo - I'm really impressed with how well it turned out. You've inspired me to have a go!0 -

While looking through boxes (we have barely unpacked, 6 months after moving into a 1-bed flat) I found some pink gingham curtains that used to be in dd's bedroom. Spent 30 mins shortening and hemming them and they are up in the kitchen window. They look pretty cute, and didn't cost a penny! They don't really go with anything but that's okay.
I will post before and after pics once it's all done. It's really just a matter now of painting and putting up shelves and moving stuff around. I have everything I need aside from more material to make a counter curtain. I'm going to buy something floral and use an off cut to add some trim to the pink window curtains so they kind of match.
I also found a pair of red curtains and a pair of tan and cream checked curtains that I am going to make into a rag rug for the front room! Happy days :T
I love these kind of posts!!!
Good for you

I got the material for the counter curtains today and chopped a bit off to add to the pink window curtains. It was kind of a rush job, but I love them!
Here they are::happylove0 -
