La Redoute - charged but no delivery received!!

  • we've had the same sort of problems. We have never had so much trouble with ordering stuff online. It is either out of stock, the wrong size or miss-charged. We have just spent almost all morning sorting out the latest mess. I'd like to say they were really helpful - but they were completely not. Literally 20 minutes on hold then a rude, unhelpful operative. In the end, we paid I think more than we needed to just to get rid of them on the condition they never contact us again and close our account. They are so completely rubbish that I don't expect this simplest of all requests to be carried out.

    My advice is never to use them - for your sanity's sake.

    We couldn't even track down the email address of the CEO which is something I have used to good effect in the past with other companies.

    It's really very frustrating.
    Just got this email from them today, even though I''m told it should arrive on Weds...
    We regret to inform you that due to exceptional demand we are unable to fulfil
    your order. We are sorry to disappoint you, and hope that you will accept
    our sincere apologies.
    The following items are delayed.

    Weeks Delay 0.

    Does this mean they're sending it me or not? Argh!
    Also got a reply to my email, 5 days later, saying they notice my queries have been addressed on the phone! No they flippin' haven't! Argh!

    Just managed to get through to them after a 15 minute queue (quite good for them, at least double as quick as normal!)
    They still have this on order from france, and should be arriving.
    They still will not cancel the order, as it's 'in transit' - but it has been for 3 weeks.
    Feels like I'm slightly stuck with this one - will be summer by the time they get the bloody thing to us.

    The worst part is that it shows on their website as available!
    So potentially, everyone who orders from them could get these delays.
    I say don't bother, and use someone else.
  • I too have had horrific problems with them (and still am!) Have jsut put up my own post before seeing this one. Definately writing to someone about this though!

    NB. Try choosing option 1 for new sales instead of customer care - Then ask to be transferred through... I got through in one ring tonight and yet CC the shortest time I've been on hold is about 45minutes!! :( x

    Is it possible that the courier left it on your door step ?

    La redoute courier left two pairs of boots value (£150 EACH !) on our doorstep in full view of the street.
    We were so lucky that no one stole the parcel.
    I rang and complained they said the courier would be notified never to leave parcels without signature again.
    However she still does ? :mad:

    I have never had any trouble with La redoute themselveshowever this has put me off using them.

    Anything is possible with them, but they tell me that the stuff hasn't come from France yet. However I do wonder whether they know what they're actually talking about.

    I don't know if you're talking about the courier 'Hermes' here. I've had some really good experiences with them - I think because it's an agency, the service you get depends on your local agency. The women that delivers our stuff is very good.
