Thats weird, have you tried searching for the member and then contacting them via that? I have no idea otherwise0

I've never known ebay to block the messages, sometimes they ask you to enter and identification number, where bassically you just have to 'unscramble' it...
If you click on the username of the person who contact you, it will bring up thier feedback screen, on the right hand side of this it will say contact member - this is what you need, should allow you to do it from there...
Be wary of buying off this buyer as you will get no comeback fom ebay if it doesn't show, not as described etc!0 -
Make a note of his username, then log out of ebay and log back in then do an advanced search by member. Then you can use the contact member to contact them. You will then have to enter the security digits that appear on screen. This is to stop spam robots.0

I get these emails all the time, ignore it!! The best thing to remember is if the message doens't come through your 'My Ebay' page then it is not genuine!! these people are scammers.!!!

Guys I get the following mesage after I have put in the varification code. Ive tried many times andd get same thing its so annoying!
Attention!
We have determined you are trying to contact an eBay member with whom you are not currently involved in an open transaction. For the protection of the eBay community, we sometimes block these types of communication. To prevent this occurrence from happening in the future, we recommend the following:
*
If you are a seller, respond to all bidder questions before the auction ends.
*
If you are trying to contact the seller of an item that has not yet ended go to the item page and click the “Ask seller a question” link.
*
If you are the winning buyer of an item go to your My eBay page under the items I’ve Won section. Click the action drop down menu and choose the “contact seller” action.
*
If you are a seller trying to contact your wining buyer, go to My eBay and under the Items I’ve Sold section, click the action drop down menu. Choose the “contact buyer” action.
*
Reply to seller/bidder through personal email provider (if the sender has not hidden their email address).
Thank you for your understanding.0 -
Ebay's systems are working correctly. This buyer has potentially suggested an off-ebay sale... ebay are within their rights to make it awkward for you to communicate with him.My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
