Hi im new here and was going to post a link to a freebie site but it said i cant coz im new, how long do i stay new for?

welcome to the forums

you can make the thread with a the link but include spaces in it, then someone like me comes along and posts in your thread with the clickable link, remember to search using keywords just in case the site has already been posted elsewhere before

No one knows the exact limits other than the MSE team.
It is in place to prevent new users from signing up and spamming
Not implying that was your intention in any way, but unfortunately measures needed to be put in place to prevent what was becoming a frequent occurence. That unfortunately means it affects all new accounts.

The reason the limits are not disclosed is that otherwise those intent on spamming will simply aim for that limit in order to spam.

However, I can confirm that once you've been a member for 5 years with a post count of over 10,000 posts, you will be above the limits set
