Lottery syndicates

Hi,
currently I am in a bonus ball syndicate which I share with my colleague 3 numbers, we have won a few times.
I am also in a lottery syndicate for £1 a week which I seem to always be owing on. I am reluctant to stop because I know the minute I stop they will have a win.
Would this be an area that you would curtail in order to budget?
thanks
Caroline

It depends on the bigger picture.
If you genuinely need to cut back, then they're fair game. I'd suggest posting on the Debt-free Wannabe section for support on your wider budget.
If you're ok financially, and you enjoy the potential of this gamble, then it's a reasonable lifestyle choice.0 -
I think this needs a massive discussion. Personally I would continue but it all depends on ones lifestyle. Will this pound make a difference? About 4 years ago I left a lottery syndicate and it has haunted me ever since...I think I had 12, 13, 20, 24, 28 and 31. I mean, these are good numbers and yet I still left. So, I suppose, you also have to take into account the numbers. I am sure more should-I-stay-in-a-one-pound-a-week-lottery-syndicate experts will come along but whatever happens - good lucks. xHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
