Halfords have got a 3 for 2 offer on car cleaning products. The ones on offer are from:
Turtle Wax - selected products
Auto Glym
Meguiars
Mer
Not sure when the offer ends, or if you can mix brands up.
They are also selling Castrol Magnatec with around a fiver off.

bloody hell thats good if they are doing meguires, megs is one of the best car cleaning stuff you can get, normally about £8-£12 for the stuff0

Was in Halfords yesterday getting car cleaning stuff (shampoo, back to black, wheel cleaner). The only offer on the Turtle Wax products was if you purchased T-Cut/Colour Magic stuff I think it was bogof with any other TW product.
They did have a 3 for 2 offer on the MER stuff and Meguires but the cheapest items were around £12-£14 each.
Or you there was a free bucket kit with a Halfords product.
Or buy 5l antifreeze and get 5l screenwash free!0 -
Yea Meguiars! Here I come!0

Went to Halfords today - Mer, Autoglym, and Meguiars on offer there(also on website, but postage is about £4). Following a recommendation on the Detailing World web site I bought:
Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner Step 1 £7.99
Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish Step 2 £7.99
Meguiars Next Generation Tech Wax £14.99
Cheapest one is free so I saved £7.99. I was very tempted by the Quik Clay set (clay and Quik Detailer) for £11.99 after reading what a difference removing grime from the car paint with a wad of clay can make, but decided to try these first. I have been using Mer, which is ok, but I've always wanted to try Meguiars.0 -
Nothing in the Warrington branch
This may not be a nation-wide offer?
Spuds: Clay DOES really make a difference! (It is however quite expensive for what it is.) And ideally you should clay the car before applying stage 1.0 -
To clay or not to clay that is the question....
I've jus brought a new motor and have had a good look into what is the best way to keep it nice and shiny.
Take a look at this thread from the Hyundai Owners Club

It tells you in simple terms how to polish your car, but not in an hour or so like most of us. This one is a full day job at least.
On the strength of this forum and numerous other people raving about Meguiars, I'll be getting a bottle of NXT wax, NXT polish and the Quick Clay set.
I'll then go in again and get a wash mitt, leather cleaner and NXT interior protector.
It will cost a bit initally, but these products apparently last ages and I suppose you get what you pay for.0 -
To be honest you'd better off getting a wash mitten and an extra bucket first, before buying any of those products.
Dirty sponge just creates more minor sratches / swirl marks0 -
inside info here.
i was developing some car cleaning products for halfords ripspeed range and we used meguires, turtle wax, autoglym as the benchmarks to match and better.
our products we developed were very good against the meguires and some were even better! so said halfords in their "tests" they did.
only thing is......halfords are going too slow in moving this project forward so currently this hangs in the balance!
will let you know if anything develops or keep a look out.

the clay is brilliant!I have used it, and it takes away all the tree sap, and other contaminants on the car - the only prob is that after rubbing it with the clay, the paint is 'raw' and you then 'should' add some wax.Agree that a good mitt is the way forward, and also rec that you get a microfibre cloth as well .... don't know if they are in the 3 for 2 offer.NXT is brilliant stuff ....One day I want to be the pigeon...... and not the statue!0

go on detailing world website, that'll tell you the best ones to buy0
