Does offset mortgage facility affect benefits?

hello
if you pay off some of the capital on your offset mortgage and then get laid off, would benefits people say you had facility to access those funds? My mortgage company agreed my mortgage and have said I can borrow back up to the original amount lent at any time duriing the mortgage period.
How far back do they go in terms of looking at doing this as deprivation of income?
Thank you.
